Navigating the Loomstack Dashboard
The Loomstack dashboard is your home base. This guide walks through each area of the interface so you always know where to find what you need.
The Left Sidebar
The sidebar is your primary navigation and stays visible on every screen. From top to bottom, you’ll find:
- Home - Your personalized overview of assigned tasks and recent activity
- My Tasks - Every task assigned to you, across all projects
- Inbox - Notifications, mentions, and approval requests
- Projects - Pinned and recent projects, plus the full project list
- Reports - Workload, progress, and cycle-time dashboards
Collapse the sidebar anytime with the [ key or the collapse arrow at the bottom to maximize screen space.
The Home View
When you sign in, Home shows:
- Today - Tasks due today or overdue, sorted by priority
- Upcoming - Tasks due within the next 7 days
- Recent activity - Comments, status changes, and mentions from your projects
- Pinned projects - One-click access to the projects you use most
Pin a project by hovering over its name in the sidebar and clicking the pin icon.
The Top Bar
The top bar contains three tools you’ll use constantly:
- Quick search - Click the magnifying glass or press
/to search tasks, projects, and people - Quick add - The + button creates a task, project, or invite from anywhere
- Your avatar - Profile settings, preferences, and sign out
Project Views
Inside any project, use the view switcher at the top to change how tasks are displayed:
- Board - Kanban columns grouped by state
- List - A dense, sortable table of tasks
- Timeline - A Gantt-style schedule showing dependencies
Each view remembers your filters and sort order per project, so your setup is preserved between visits.
The Inbox
Your Inbox collects everything that needs your attention:
- Click Inbox in the sidebar
- Use the tabs to filter: Mentions, Assigned to me, Following
- Click any item to open the task in a side panel without leaving the Inbox
- Archive items with the checkmark, or press
Ewhile an item is selected
A badge on the Inbox icon shows your unread count.
