Creating Tasks from Slack

Use the Loomstack bot to create tasks directly from Slack:

/loomstack create "Fix login bug" project:Website assignee:@john due:tomorrow

Full syntax:

/loomstack create "<task title>" [project:name] [assignee:@username] [due:date] [priority:high/medium/low]

Subscribing to Projects

Stay updated on specific projects:

  1. In Slack, type /loomstack subscribe
  2. Select the project you want updates for
  3. Choose notification frequency (real-time, daily digest, weekly summary)
  4. That channel will now receive notifications

Updating Tasks from Slack

React to task notifications with emoji to update status:

  • ✅ Mark task complete
  • ⏸️ Pause/hold task
  • 🔴 High priority
  • 🟡 Medium priority
  • 🟢 Low priority

Disconnecting Slack

To disable the integration:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Click the three dots next to Slack
  3. Click Disconnect
  4. Confirm removal

Your Slack workspace will no longer receive Loomstack notifications.
